I’m sure a lot of you know what I’m talking about. The kids alone can be dreadful: the screaming, the rudeness, the out-of-control behavior. But working at Target, I also get to see the price tag of having a family, and kiddos are not cheap. Diapers for babies, clothes for tots, toys for children, electronics for teens, and food for the whole bunch all add up to big bucks. Some days, I want to flee my register and tie my tubes right there.

Now, this is a really funny thing to me. I work in a place where most people definitely believe that this is true. However, for me, my job just makes me wish I had children a little more.
Yes, there are plenty of kids who come in to where I work that scream, and cry, and misbehave, but all of the kids that I’ve gotten to interact with have always been the best part of my day. A lot of the kids that I have had the chance to interact with are just really excited to be where they are. They like to talk about what they did during the day, or what they’re gonna do tomorrow, and if it’s their birthday, or if they got to be lucky enough to skip school to come have fun at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Children can definitely be a handful, but really, I think how they respond to the situations they are put in is completely dependent on their parents.
